Best Outdoor Movie Snacks: Creating the Perfect Picnic

With Summer in full swing here in Buffalo, there is no limit to the amount of fun things to do! One of my favorites is catching a movie outside. You get to enjoy the warm summer air, a great movie, and of course, bring your choice of snacks without having to sneak them in past the movie theater security guard. I’m a huge believer that snacks can only enhance your movie going experience.

Keep reading to see what my favorites are to bring along for a picnic style movie viewing!

I don’t really like drinking wine or beer, but I do love champagne & prosecco! Being able to bring alcohol around with you with ease is luckily trendy right now and Premier has a HUGE selection of mini bottles for your convenience.

Capture.JPGMy favorite though are the mini Sofia cans from Francis Ford Coppola Winery. They even come with a straw, so you’ll always be prepared to pop some bottles (or a can) where ever you are.

Nothing goes better with champagne, than some fancy snacks. I went to check out everyone’s favorite grocery store (literally everyone) Wegmans!

They always have the best produce, so I started with some farm fresh strawberries grown locally. Next up, you gotta have some cheese, and anyone who shops as Wegmans knows about their amazing selection of locally source and amazing varieties of cheese.

To make my picnicking even easier, I grabbed some of their pre-cut and packaged cheese cubes! Finally, I was drawn to their marvelous olive bar and got some blue cheese stuffed olive and garlic stuffed olives. Everything is mobile friendly and easy to eat with your hands!

But the most important part of any movie going experience is to see how much junk food you can eat in the time it takes to watch the movie! Some of my personal favorites that we brought to indulge in are: Cool Ranch Doritos, Mint Milanos,  Twizzlers, and Wegmans even had old fashion Candy Buttons! We also brought along some La Croix Grapefruit (the best flavor) to wash it down. I may have bought enough to last me for two movies…
